[00:00:00] Well, welcome to the One Thing podcast where we all get to usher in the new age of humanity,
[00:00:22] homo spiritus that is, that version of the new age of humanity, by practicing dancing that disconnect us from higher love and wisdom despite our higher intentions. And without us even realizing this is happening sometimes and how we can reduce this deeply human and ever so common tendency. Right. And before you say something about our topic for today, I just wanted to say this idea of never having tried,
[00:01:42] you know, the one thing that talk connection unmask
[00:01:47] actually means, and I don't know that we do this more common. It's far more common that we do this than not. And even among well-intended people, we all know, and I consider myself and David one of those people, we're well-intended, we have good hearts, we mean well, we wanna make a good impact in society.
[00:03:00] And yet we can be still unaware that we're disconnected
[00:03:04] and we're not contributing not be. Quite, quite true. And yes, it it's so common among well intended peoples, which is people, which is why we're doing this episode on this topic. And, you know, the thing that in Laurie and my experiences
[00:04:23] that we most fall prey to is thinking And we're the ones who block it, if you will. And you know that. So what I wanted to say about that is that if you're willing to check in more often throughout the day, and make sure you're connected, because it's hard to say
[00:05:41] in the morning when we wake up or meditating, yeah, I'm going to do that, I'm going to be that way
[00:05:45] today, but then it's five o'clock in the afternoon, and all of a sudden, to assume that we don't know what's most loving about any given thought, action, or situation. So my what we're talking about in this episode, I'm shifting right now into beginner's mind. I don't know what this is for.

[00:08:22] I know the things I'm not going to get to do this afternoon because I'm cleaning
[00:09:24] living in the mystery and human minds have a really difficult time living in the mystery because it doesn't know if it's safe to live in the mystery.
[00:09:30] So the only part of us, and we've talked about this, but the only part of us that knows how
[00:09:38] to live in the mystery and it isn't really a mystery to our higher self or to live in
[00:09:43] this higher part of
[00:11:02] our anatomy.
[00:11:03] Absolutely. And so with that,
[00:11:05] we're going to dig down into aats here. Containment, containment of something that's not okay is not attack. Attack is something completely different.
[00:12:21] Attack is I'm going to do the containing and I'm going to have vengeance too, or I'm going
[00:12:25] to be accusatory, or I'm going to be judgmental and containment is really crucial. Mm-hmm. I mean, that's kind of a beautiful example of the difference,
[00:13:42] the discernment between fear and love.
[00:13:46] Yes. from my small mind and handing it over to my higher self. And the minute I do that, the minute I surrender what I think things should be, and you know, all twisted up in a worry state or a stress state, there's a sense of serenity and peace that accompanies my surrender, my willingness to yield to That's human. If we go from having an agitated emotion into justifying its existence, we have completely
[00:17:42] disconnected from the one thing in that moment. That's where the work is.
[00:17:44] That's where we give pay attention to our agitated emotions and treat them accordingly,
[00:19:02] meaning as a call to reconnect with higher love and wisdom.
[00:19:07] Exactly.
[00:19:08] Beautiful. our collective mindsets and actions based on fear and attack. That is a big deal. It is such a big deal. So your part is a huge contribution to reducing the collective consciousness that hooks into fear and hooks into attack, and then out pictures it in the world
[00:20:21] in all the forms that we're seeing today.
[00:20:24] So please be willing to join the collective consciousness and etc. And this is really what is so often meant by the larger piece can only come after the smaller piece we make with ourselves and each other. This kind of discernment that we're talking about is hugely important today in deciding who we support you don't know what's most loving about any given thought, action or situation until you check in with your higher self, first by connecting then by being an inquiry about it, and then receiving the insights that your inquiry prompts from your higher self. Perfect. And the second takeaway is we want to encourage you to
[00:23:01] practice treating your agitated emotions as alerts that you're I mean, that's really the only way we're going to dig ourselves out of any mess. Small, medium or large. Yeah. I think this is the beginning of TOT merch. Yeah, there we go. There. Yeah, that's good. And the fourth and final takeaway that we want to leave you with on this topic is to remember
